Wow, Victoria! I can see the truth in all of this, but it's a lot to think about. This ties in with thoughts I've been having lately about our experiences with my husband's health. I didn't watch the videos yet, but I will soon. Thank you for all this info. It is so helpful, as always!
That's exactly how I felt when I first started digesting her work. The next 2 articles are still dedicated to her work because it takes different angles to help absorb the implications. As someone who likes to feel I have agency or at least some, rather than being at the mercy of circumstances, all this has helped me...we both know how hard it is to see the light...this helps us to see the glimmers that are around rather than trying to look for the end of the tunnel. ;-)
Such a great read! Especially after having just got out of the hospital a few days ago with our boy. He had a mystery fever that wouldn’t quit. Doing much better now. But what an emotional roller coaster!! Appreciate this information!!🙏🏼💛
Hi Mary Beth...ohhhh sending hugs and love over to you guys! The books are a great read, but the videos are easier to digest ;-)
I'm so glad the article flowed for you. There's SO MUCH info and 'myth busting' that I'm trying not to 'tsunami' everything. Of course, I feel passionately about using the insights to make sense of everything we do.
This is draft 6 or 7 I think - I kept thinking 'but we—caregivers have to pivot pivot adapt pivot, so I don't want someone telling me to have new experiences to broaden my ability to predict better' ;-) But we can support each other through it.
I definitely get the draft thing. Sometimes it’s better to just release. I’ve learned, we can always go back and edit. The info has such value. And oh my, the pivoting!!! My friend told me we should have a gold medal in figure skating by now.🤪 Also I do appreciate anything that is more easily digestible. Through challenging moments, our brains need ease. Thank you, Victoria💛
🤣 Triple axel flying through the air and spinning - yup! Just as long as we're not spinning-in-place! Although that might be a very apt description of why we get totally disorientated. Thanks Mary Beth. I hope things are calm today and you and your boy are doing ok.

Oh, that's good to know! I mentioned I've put the book on hold, so between your articles and the book, I'll plan to spend some time with it.

Gosh yes! The disorientation! Things are more calm today. Feels good to rest.
