President Biden has declared November 2024 National Family Caregivers Month. Madam Vice President Kamala Harris cared for her mother, so she understands and has actionable plans.
Oh Victoria, here I am reading this a month late. Guess I’ve been living that devastation. Thanks for everything you do. We need each other now more than ever, and I look forward to catching up with your November “For The Caregivers” Series.
Thank you, Janice! Your feedback means a lot to me. I hear you, I can't feel it the same way, sitting here in the UK, but I'm with you in spirit and angst-empathy, hoping and sending prayers.
It is a very tough and scary time for us in the States. Genuine fear. Mini is snuggled next to me on the loveseat. She’s a real sweetheart.Hope you’re doing well.❤️
I am sending hugs. Yes, I selectively click news to glimpse facts and then retreat. I'm sending prayers.
Give Mini hugs from me. Mum and I are finally getting a little more strength post-Covid and pneumonia, but it's been tricky. I'm wrung out from this last hospitalisation and this last month. SO, I'm planning a few much-needed days away...seafood, wine and maybe that espresso martini ;-) but first Sleep!
Sorry to hear that Mary - It's very understandable though. I watch Brian Taylor Cohen on YouTube and then I have to do Candy crush or Sudoku to unwind my brain.

Thanks, Cherie...You may want to skip to December...comfort and hope ;-)
I agree with Mary, it's the great caring that you offer. I also understand the fear of which she speaks.

Victoria, you’re doing an amazing job. Great writing, great resources, and most importantly, great caring. Thank you for all you do.🙏❤️🫶

Yes, sleep. Getting very little of it these days.

Also, the Autumn Budget here in the UK wound me up: https://www.carermentor.com/p/caring-in-england-10-facts-which?r=a9y7d&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web
Off to watch some mindless tv now xoxo
Aw, thank you so much, Mary! I hope you know how much your feedback and support warm my heart and fuel my purpose.
Many carer friends are going through difficult times right now. So, this series feels even more critical.
I hope you and Mini are snuggled up and both well. xo
So many great resources in here for caregivers! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Jenn! xo
