Wonderful article, but so 'spot on'. Carers paid and unpaid are very undervalued by Society. Maybe it is starting to slowly change? More and more of us are sleepwalking into caring with an aging population. Sadly change happens slowly. I do feel paid Carers need more training and recognition as it is a very difficult, mentally and physically demanding job and mega challenging.

Thank you, Helena. There are advocates like Emily Kenway and leaders of organisations like Ai-jen Poo who are lobbying for policy changes, and social change. I'm always hopeful. However, I'm also realistic that individuals need support now. I hope, this article, my work here and on discussion forums, or in real life, can inspire inclusion for all women, in particular caregivers who are struggling...while I sustain my #1 priority, caregiving for my mother. Thank you for your support and comments.

Thank you Robin, I appreciate your comment. Empathy, and inspiration are powerful tools for connection and sharing ideas. Illuminating the valuable role of women, especially caregivers in our communities is key to elevating the importance of care and caregiving.
