You're welcome Jes, I enjoy your small meaningful articles, and Merry merry little everything gave me smiles - especially the little jingle at the end ;-) I also think more people need to see your drawings ;-) From your articles I know you don't like marketing...as an Ex-marketeer & strategist I thought I'd help ;-)
Perhaps Restack your 12 postcard article ;-) or highlight your calendar..those drawings are great!
Victoria, thank you so much for including me on this wonderful list of inspiring authors! I am so honoured. I have great respect for the work and writing you're doing here on Substack, so to know that my piece moved you in return is wonderful. I look forward to diving more into these other suggestions you've made!
I love that you read Man's Search for Meaning annually. I read that book when I was in treatment, and it really changed my outlook on life. I must aim to re-read it! I also recently purchased The War of Art, so that might have to be my next read!
Thank you so much for all you're doing for the cancer community! xx
Thanks, Emma! You're welcome and yes your essays articulate Human-ing really well! Keep going!
There's more books coming. I find a new insight or perspective each time I read the core 10 books in my list, but there are 25 in total. Frankl's is up near pole position. I'll share more soon.
Carer Mentor is only as strong, empathetic and inspiring as the network-community we're building together. I'm hoping to create more opportunities for us to network empathy and inspiration. xo
Thank you Victoria for including me among such splendid company, not least your kind and empathetic and generous self. I am so glad you enjoyed and found so much resonance in my essay of last week about my exploration that led to Discovery being my Word of the Year for 2025. I can't wait to listen to the music and Elena's meditation that accompanied your reading of my piece. Music is important--essential--to both of us, I know. Thank you for giving us so many sparks of inspiration to explore. I love it when other writers curate a reading list for me because there are so many fantastic voices here on Substack and while I subscribe to over a hundred I know I miss many more! I love having a virtual library of Substack "magazines" overflowing with goodness. I know I can only leaf through a few of them on any given day/week but knowing they are there makes me so happy.
Big hugs, Amy! I think you'll love Elena's guided meditation, and yes, I knew the combination of music and meditation would resonate with you. I felt your article could offer gentle guidance to others—empathy and warmth are abundant in your writing!
Wishing you well in all your plans for the move. xoxo
I find human-ing extra hard in January! I lost all my creative juices and have been extra tired and flare-y…. So I appreciate these suggestions of publications to check out! I’m woefully behind on my reading but saving to enjoy and savour.
I hear you, Kelly! Extra hugs! We can be hard on ourselves when mainstream news is pushing 'go go go'. This is why I enjoyed the article by Carmen Luisa. Take care. xo
Victoria! Thank you so much for the generous recommendation!

I just love the idea of core books. Can’t wait to see what more you share about this!
Creating opportunities for empathy and inspiration sounds like the ideal way to use Substack! xx
Thanks, Emma. Exactly! xo

You're welcome, Jeannie. I think several people will enjoy your 'Realities and Resilience Inspiration for the Journey Ahead' article. I know I did.
