Some fascinating and in some cases sobering statistics here. So good to see them shared! The more widely we can talk about these things the better, I feel!

I am a single female with Alzheimer’s - 78 years old. I have no family. I live alone in my own home. Are there any services or help available for someone completely alone like me?

Hi Judith, Thanks for reading and your comment.

There are many organisations and services that are available to help you. These are the ones I'm aware of

Are you based in the US or the UK or somewhere else?

US: https://alzfdn.org/#

US: https://www.seniorlivingselections.com/about-us/

UK: https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/

UK dementia UK: https://www.dementiauk.org/information-and-support/how-we-can-support-you/admiral-nurse-dementia-helpline/

FYI Carer Mentor is a single author website and publication. It's also a community support network. Here is an anthology of articles by different authors where you can read about their experiences as a caregiver but also as someone with mild cognitive impairment https://www.carermentor.com/p/the-dementia-anthology

I hope the links give you some support, and helps you feel less alone. I hear your need for support. If you agree I can connect you with a few other people who subscribe to Carer Mentor?
