A beautiful letter that also resonated with me. Thanks for sharing, Anna and Victoria.

Both of my parents also have dementia, and my youngest brother was fully disabled and needed round the clock care until he passed away aged 37. There was a lot in your story Anna that I recognised in ours and I'm glad you and your loved ones are in a stronger place now.

Anna, such a beautiful family. I see such positive energy and joy in your eyes. Your letter hits home on so many levels.

In caring for my mom, I have learned to take time for myself, hold boundaries so that when I'm with her, I can give her my full heart and attention. It's a tough balance as our children never quite stop needing us and the sandwich continues.

I look forward to reading your articles.

Thank you, Victoria for this connection!
