This is great!!! Thank you for sharing! I actually need to sit with this for a day or two because there’s just too many options swirling around in my head right now lol.
I was in two-minds about asking you to byline this article, but I didn't want to cause more workload for you. If you want to write a reaction-piece to this one, I can cross post/host here.
No pressure and no stress. I know how much you love this topic, any and all input welcome! xo P.S we watched Fiddler on the Roof yesterday.
Thx for the mention! It’s “Sound of Music” and “Wizard of Oz” that bring me back to being a kid and family time. I’m pretty sure this was because they were specials on prime time annually. This was the 80s and pre- on demand.
You’re welcome, Beth. I liked your review of Wicked! Yep, ‘Wizard of Oz’ was on every Christmas here in the UK, too. There was a sequel, ‘Return to Oz,’ but of course, not as good as the first.
Likely cause it was on when I was a kid. I liked it. But yeah, not the same, though better than the James Franco, Mila Kunis, and Michelle Williams production from a decade ago that had me shaking my head.
Glad you enjoyed the review. Been having a good time going to screenings lately!

I remember “Return to Oz” vividly -

Green with envy ( a wicked pun) ;-) ...but very happy to live vicariously through your reviews!
