Resource: Carers UK Intro to Caring
You may be eligible for more support than you know. You have rights.
There are 2 important organisations that I recommend to Carers in the UK: mobilise and Carers UK. Both provide excellent tools and information e.g. online forums and virtual meetings. You will have seen several reports and information already here on the site by Carers UK as they campaign for new rights and policies for Carers. Click this link for more information about mobilise they partner with local authorities to
‘To make sure nobody has to figure out a caring role on their own.’
Here are Here are bite-size summaries of your rights by mobilise. Easy to navigate and digest!
You may have hundreds of questions. Discombobulated?
I recommend exploring the Carers UK Help and Advice online or simply give them a call (Carers UK Information and Support):
UK 0808 808 7777 from Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm (excluding Bank Holidays) or you can contact them by email (advice@carersuk.org)
The rest of the information on this page is taken directly from the Carers UK site. I recommend them the most because since 2015 their information, the forum, and connection to other Carers have virtually walked alongside me on my journey.
