Victoria, these are great recommendations. I second Melissa’s suggestion of “Being Mortal.” It’s a stunningly written, deeply humane and personal book. I read it when my husband was in hospice. They had a copy. I bought my own, and have given copies and recommended it to others. Thank you for sharing these titles, and for all the love and research you put into your work.💛
Thanks so much. I'd elevated "Being Mortal" in my TBR list thanks to Melissa, but now it'll have to be my next read! If you both found it that powerful and meaningful, it may have to displace a book in the Top Ten! I'll keep you posted!.
You're on my mind, sending love to you and Mini. xo
Great information. I would add “Being Mortal” by Atul Gawande. I also found the series “Dementia for Dummies” helpful in its simplicity. 💜

Thanks for the recommendations, Melissa!
Ahhh I remember Krista Tippett recommended "Being Mortal' in one of her 'On Being' podcasts, where she interviewed Atul Gawande: https://open.spotify.com/episode/3npjURN2ceGBgywfivRChZ?si=73adb08e7f8949f5
I knew it sounded familiar - it's on my list but I didn't read it yet, so thanks for your prompt!
