I appreciate your sharing this video and will pick up a copy of the book. I acknowledge the rollercoaster of emotions and the need to not rigidly live in them or deny them, but I need someone to answer: how do you find relief?

I hear you, Kerri. This is why I'm creating a section on Emotional Agility and sharing what I find helpful. We need ideas that we can test and tailor to our unique situation. Clients and friends have found the book helpful.

As you already know, there's no magic relief button, but the concepts have become a core part of my mindset and part of my personal 'compass' for navigating challenging times. So, I think I struggle less than I would have done without this knowledge.

I love this book! It reminds me too of Susan Cain’s book Bittersweet, on how embracing “negative” emotions makes life fuller, richer. Thanks for sharing these highlights! A powerful reminder of how we can all grow more resilient!
